RCA was an American brand of reel to reel tapes in the 1950s through the 1970s. Their standard (type 1) sound tapes were often used for professional recordings in the 1950s and 1960s and had a good reputation. They were available in acetate and polyester versions. Like other tapes of that vintage, they all shared a similar formulation, and the performance was similar to the Scotch 111, also with a similar bias requirement.
